The MTA–SZTE Digital Learning Technologies Research Group is searching for an answer to the question of how we can put technological devices in the service of student learning and development most effectively. To this end, we endeavour to achieve personalized development using digital devices which are available in school, while we make use of the potential of log data analysis in profiling students (e.g. mapping behavioural patterns and making the learning and thinking processes visible). Through adaptive, i.e. personalized, assessment and developmental methods, we support the assessment and development of thinking skills, cross-curricular competencies, and scientific and transversal thinking skills, which are indispensable for effective learning. Through assessments planned with scientific precision and control group development, we provide teachers with evidence-based tools and methods, which effectively support the realization of personalized teaching and learning.
